It may sound wonderful to set your own schedule and be your own boss, but think about if you have these traits:

• Self-motivated: Disciplined enough to work daily without a schedule.
• Risk-taking: Comfort with some level of uncertainty and lack of security.
• Creative: Willing to try new things or find new solutions.
• Persistent: Stamina to work long hours with low initial financial reward.
• Independent: Having a stronger need for control than colleague approval.
• Realistic: Ability to find practical ways to carry out your dream.
