Upgrading Your Computer Skills (Summer/Fall 2005)

Whether you are looking for employment or comfortably
employed, it's important to stay ahead of the curve with computer
skills. They are needed in most every profession, and are part of
the current world of continuous learning.
There are great low cost and free resources within the area. Through The Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh,
you can take classes at the Oakland and East Liberty PC Centers. Some classes at Oakland charge $10 for a two-hour class,
and others are for free, including all East Liberty classes.

Most classes are 2 hours and many are offered in
the evening and on Saturdays. For a schedule go to www.clpgh.org
and click on PC Centers. Registration starts around the 15th of
the previous month and classes fill fast. Or call 412.578.2561 PC
Center - Main, or 412.363.6105 PC Center - East Liberty.
Low cost courses are also offered through PA Team Career Link at 425 Sixth Avenue, 22nd Floor,
Regional Enterprise Tower. The cost is $20 or $10 if unemployed. Most courses meet for four weeks for 2 hour periods.
